How to find us A scenic 1½ hours drive from Christchurch city, Akaroa is an historic French and British settlement nestled in the heart of an ancient volcano.
The area's numerous attractions range from wildlife cruises to historic architecture. You will receive detailed directions with confirmation of your booking.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy A current credit card number with expiry date is required to confirm a reservation. In confirming the reservation, and providing the credit card details, the guest acknowledges and accepts the cancellation policy detailed below and authorises the charging of any costs so incurred.
Due to our intimate size and the fact that the majority of our guests book months in advance, cancellations affect us greatly. As a result, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. If your reservation is cancelled fewer than thirty days (but more than 14 days) before your visit, a charge of 25% of the booking value will be applied to the credit card. Should we receive less than fourteen days notice of cancellation we will charge for the total accommodation value.
We strongly advise guests to take out travel insurance to protect themselves against unexpected changes to their travel plans.
Christmas and New Year Policy During the festive season period between 21 December and 4 January, all reservations cancelled fewer than sixty days prior to arrival incur charges for the total accommodation amount.
Sorry, our farmstay is not suitable for children under the age of 14 years.
